In general, the chart shows the time spent to
disassemble, clean, repair and rebuild, and then
assemble the feature car. To make the chart complete, the hours for items that were
subcontracted are included and have blue labels.
Of significant interest is the fact that running errands took
nearly four 40-hour weeks. Examples of running errands are:
- Taking the frame to be powder coated. This might
include going to the rental shop to pick up a car
trailer
- Driving to the hardware store to pick up cotter pins
- Driving to the parts store to pick up brake fluid
The final total for the complete restoration was about 1300 hours.
